Members of the ANF team met at SLE in Berlin, Germany, for the project’s annual meeting from 4-8 Sep 2025. During the first day, WP leaders presented on deliverables, outputs and challenges of their WPs, followed by guest lectures of Dr. Diop and Dr. Kanfany from Senegal on cultivation practices and mechanisation in Senegal. During the second day, the team discussed the activities and deliverables planned for the coming year 2026. At day 3, the team visited a CSA farm in Potsdam, where everybody learned a lot about organic farming and specific challenges of a CSA farm before enjoying a tasty lunch provided by the farm team. At the last day, participants discussed synergies between work packages and joined a lively exchange session with guests from Indonesia and Brot für die Welt on their experiences with farmer field school activities. After a successful annual meeting in Berlin, the whole team travelled to Bonn to participate in the Tropentag Conference, where two oral and three poster contributions of ANF team members were presented.
